I remember Dario Hubner, aka the Bison who smoked on the bench came on and scored like 20 plus goals in that 2001/2002 season.

Eoin Sheehan says:

One if the things I always loved was all the firefighters/police men going ballistic behind the net after a goal!

Aaaah the good old days , the legend Kenneth Wolstenholme and his made for commentary voice , the duo of mr Brackley and Ray Wilkins , paul Elliot and Luther Blisset .The style of shirts are much cooler than I remember but I always wanted a Fiorentina shirt when they were sponsored by 7up or the Torino shirt when they were sponsored by Barretta . Loved this show so much …James Richardson was perfect !

importedmusic says:

There is something reassuringly honest and refreshing about all the expose's and scandals on this news section. I imagine this all still goes on in the EPL today yet nobody knows about it

Zim Zimma says:

So good…. Think I'll fire up a game of cm 01/02, bring Riquelme to Lazio stick him behind Crespo and my newly bought Belarussian teenager Maxim Tsigalko and watch the magic unfold

Best Football programme ever

Roz Sa says:

Trezeguet's Italian has me laughing. Its an almost unbelievable mix of italian and spanish. he pronounces some words properly, whilst adding some totally spanish words.

Claudio87Amorosi says:

Whats great about watching football Italia is that when James does the newspapers part it was the funniest part of the show, he would sarcastically take the piss out of a topic was class and i miss it very much as being Italian myself the amount of stupidity that happens in Italian football he makes it funnier lol good times =)

Synthesizer Patel says:

Ahh I wish Trezeguet to Liverpool had happened. Not a Liverpool fan but I honestly think he could have had the same impact on the PL as Thierry Henry.

sunglasses ron says:

Ust to always watch this programme 🙁

mike smith says:

What a league the seria A was.. Say what you want about the Prem, it never had this magic.

Greg Watson says:

Gazzetta Football Italia was a top programe on a Sat Morning

Ayo Olatunji says:

watched this religiously. Serie A was true escapism in the 90s, and it just seemed so magical. so many big teams all of whom had at least one superstar: Milan, Juventus, Inter, Parma, Roma, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Lazio. seemed so skilful vs ePL. Between 1997 and the end of this show in 2002, the gAP vs EPL gradually closed as money flooded the EPL and italian fans lost interest in Serie A. It remains my favourite league and i hope that at least one team can rise from the ashes and win the UCL.

Mark Richardson says:

Pep Guardiola doping?? Who would have believed it?

valeyellow46uk says:

Haha. Love this guy. Glad they've signed him up to BT Sport's Serie A coverage.

Christian Keenan says:

We need this back on tv 🙁
