ESPN FC’s Alejandro Moreno, Craig Burley, Dan Thomas, Julie Laurens and Shaka Hislop react to Robert Lewandowski’s record-breaking performance in Bayern Munich’s 6-0 win vs. Red Star Belgrade, along with Cristiano Ronaldo’s failure to make an impact in Juventus’ 1-0 victory vs. Atletico Madrid.

He is good but come on. It's Red Star Belgrade.

Van Dijk should not win the Ballon D’Or.
When was the last time you would put a defender as the Ballon D’Or winner? Cannavaro
Think about it? What is so special about Van Dijk?
Yeh, he’s a top player and yeh he won the Champions League? But to win the actual Ballon D’Or?!
Pique and Dani Alves won the Treble…..where were they in the Ballon D’Or that year?!
Van Dijk had a top season in the Champions League….but actually he didn’t do too well against Messi in the first leg.
The Champions League doesn’t show a player’s consistency over the whole season and it is a competition whereby all the ‘big teams’ get through the group stage. So in fact, to win the CL, you have 3 teams to beat to reach the final…..
Furthermore , Van Dijk didn’t win anything domestically…AGAIN, for another season. How can you give a player, and a defender at that, the Ballon D’Or?
Pique won the Treble, where was he in the Ballon D’Or that year?
What about Ronaldo?
In the year that Juve won the domestic double and got to the CL final, the highest any Juve player got in that year’s Ballon D’Or was 15th place. (?!)
How can you even have Ronaldo or Mbappe in the top 5? However, this year they’re contemplating putting someone, Ronaldo, in the top 3 for just winning the Seria A title and was only 5th Top goalscorer in Seria A and whose start to the 2019 season had been poor.
The same can be said of Mbappe, someone who just won the league, and the French league at that,. He’s another one who has started the 2019 season poorly.
So what did these footballers win last season continuing on to the current season of 2019-20?

If Lewandowski is given a rating of anything less than 92 in fifa 21; I will have to edit his stats again to make it 92, i guess lol
27 in 19 zu wild
how many records you have to beat to get a golden shoe
In the next game that Lewandowski will not score in those clowns will say that he is an overrated striker and that he is declining.
Is under-rated due to 1) Long name 2) Nationality 3) Being at Bayern vs Real, Juve or any top flight EPL team. There is def. a bias working against him on all these 3 levels. He does have two legit knocks on him though: historically he tends not to produce in very important matches (for club and country), plus has never won the CL. This season he's very strong though, so far best striker on the planet right now.
Just because Lewy doesn't play in the PL, doesn't mean he isn't the best. Why do people think that every player must play in the PL to prove himself. Look at Messi, Ribery, Xavi, Iniesta, etc… the list goes on.
Needs to win the Champions League to be recognised as one of the true greats I believe
these topics are so stupid.
