Real Madrid are understood to be considering an £88million offer from Juventus for Ronaldo. Ronaldo put doubt over his future in May when he said: “It’s been very nice to be at Madrid. “In the coming days I will give a response to the fans because they actually have always been at my side.” Ronaldo made no comment and was silent on his future during the World Cup but following Portugal’s exit, he is now free to sort his club situation and reports suggest he’s told Real he wants to leave the Bernabeu. And in an apparent sign of how close the deal is, Italian outlet Sport Mediaset say Cuadrado is ready to let Ronaldo have his favourite number and potentially change to No 16. Cuadrado has held the number seven jersey since joining Juventus in 2016. Spanish football expert Guillem Balague believes a move is imminent after Ronaldo told Real he wanted to join Juventus this summer. “Quite clearly Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo know of each other’s intentions,” said Balague. “There was a meeting between Ronaldo’s representatives and Real Madrid last night in which the club heard he wants to go. “That is the only thing he wants to do. “Finally Real Madrid caved in and said ‘Okay, if anybody comes with a bid of 100m euros (£88m) then okay we will let you go’. That is where we stand. “Juventus have told Mendes and Ronaldo that they will submit that offer at some point and that they will pay him 30m (£26.5m) euros net and are more than happy to give him a four-year contract. “That is what Ronaldo wants. Now this is the new thing in this situation that has been repeated in the last three summers – Real Madrid are very much open for that to happen.”
Excitement is growing and it's anyone's guess what the resolution (outcome) will be.
